Duran Duran, Pat Benatar Nominated For 2022 Rock Hall

Pat Benatar and Duran Duran Are Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Nominees

Duran Duran is a First Time Nominee

For the first time, the ‘80s supergroup Duran Duran has been nominated for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Despite being the biggest band in the ‘80s, selling millions of albums, still making music and selling out tours, a few years ago it looked like it might not happen for the Fab Five. Currently, they lead the fan vote; the fan vote gives non-industry people the chance to have a say in the Rock Hall voting…well, kinda. The winner of the Fan Vote gets one vote in the tabulation of the winners.

Pat Benatar Nominated Again For the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame

Here we go. We did this a few years ago (getting our hopes up that Pat Benatar would get in the Rock Hall) and it seemed like a lock. But somehow Pat Benatar didn’t get into the Rock Hall in 2020. She wasn’t even nominated in 2021. The Go-Go’s were nominated in 2021 and got in. Which they should. But…the Go-Go’s before Pat Benatar? Ah, I suppose nominations and inductions aren’t linear.
