Andy Gibb didn’t join his brothers in the Bee Gees because he was too young. The Bee Gees, featuring brothers Barry, Maurice and Robin formed when they were kids in the late ‘50s; the youngest Gibb brother, Andy, was born in 1958. Rumor has it that Andy was going to join the Bee Gees in 1988. Sadly, Andy died at age 30 before he could become the 4th member of the Bee Gees.

Andy Gibb’s 1979 single “Desire” does feature the Bee Gees, but they technically didn’t sing together. According to Wikipedia, the Bee Gee’s recorded “Desire” but left it off of their 1979 Spirits Having Flown album. Andy recorded a new lead vocal for the song, and the three brothers can be heard on the song in the background.

There are only two songs that feature Andy and his brothers singing. “Desire,” and “Arrow Through the Heart” which was recorded in 1987 and not released until 2010 as a Bee Gees song. “Arrow Through the Heart” was the last song Andy Gibb recorded before his death in 1988.
